THE POSITION:

Fairfield City Council’s ICT team is currently hiring 2x full-time Applications & Solutions Developersresponsible for the development and enhancements of Council's corporate systems, integrated solutions, systems analysis, problem resolution, user support, maintenance, development and programming using Council’s integration gateway.

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent with extensive experience leading the development of ICT solutions.
  • ITIL Foundation certified and PMP trained.
  • Ability to communicate with staff at all levels including developed interpersonal skills in conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation.
  • Expert knowledge of SDLC methodologies and frameworks, applications 3-tier architectures and standards, software release management and software quality disciplines and integration principles.
  • Knowledge of project planning and management.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of modelling, software design tools and techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of database design and modelling.
  • Experience in various software development platforms.
  • Experience in software development in large organisation or reputable software house.
  • Experience in leadership and management of software development teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of CI/CD & development best practices.

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

  • Permanent full-time position, working 70 hours per fortnight
  • This position is a Grade 8, with a salary range of $114,499 p.a. with progression to $123,304 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, and performance progression up to $134,121 p.a. plus superannuation.
