Assets Inspector Parks and Buildings
Permanent full-time position
35 hours a week + variable day off every 19-days + flexible working arrangements (WFH opportunities)
Salary: $90,022.38 - $104,620.46 + 12% Superannuation per annum
What You'll Do
As our Assets Inspector Parks and Buildings, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Council’s parks and buildings are safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose. You’ll undertake proactive and reactive inspections to assess asset condition, identify hazards and risks, verify asset information and monitor compliance across a diverse portfolio. You’ll collect and maintain accurate asset data, update inspection and asbestos records, and provide insights into asset condition trends.
Working closely with the broader asset management team, you’ll develop scopes and cost estimates for renewal and upgrade projects and contribute to Council’s long-term capital works program, helping shape investment decisions that keep our community facilities and open spaces safe, functional and sustainable.
This role is split between field work, physically inspecting built assets, and reporting and recording the data. You’ll be outside and, on the road, more days than not. Generally, you’ll have access to the Council operational vehicle pool, but you may be required to use your own vehicle if a Council vehicle is not available for inspections on any given day.
