About the role:

As the Casual Cleaner you will play a key role to help keep our Cultural Precinct clean, safe, and welcoming for the community. This role mainly works after hours, cleaning between events and assisting during busy functions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Clean and restock public areas, toilets, foyers, dressing rooms, and green rooms.
  • Maintain auditorium seating, floors, and function rooms.
  • Clean backstage, technical corridors, docks, and staff areas.
  • Empty bins, manage recycling, and follow safety and spill procedures.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely.
  • Provide friendly customer service during events.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the cleaning team.

What you’ll bring to the role:

The ideal candidate will align with the City’s Values and be able to demonstrate the below competencies:

  • 2+ years commercial cleaning experience.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Current C Class drivers licence.
  • National Police Clearance not more than six months old.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Working with Children Check.

Hours and conditions:

This role is casual and the working days and times will vary, but are expected to include evenings and weekends.
