We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents. 

The role

The Customer Service Officer plays an integral role in welcoming our guests to Roselands Leisure & Aquatic Centre (LAC). You will be responsible for handling cash transactions and reconciliation with speed and accuracy, managing daily takings, assisting our guests with their enquires and ensuring their experience is positive.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Action customer enquiries in person and over the phone enquiries, whilst effectively managing customer feedback in a professional manner.
  • Cash transactions and reconciliation with speed and accuracy, manage daily takings and report discrepancies to Team Leader.
  • Data entry, appropriate documentation and record keeping.
  • Ensure all customer service areas are neat, organised and safe.
  • Carry out basic kiosk operations, food handling and serving.
  • Ensure the maintenance of stock levels and presentation within budget and conduct monthly stock take.

You will have

  • Apply First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Flexible with working across the facilities, operating hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • Proven experience in the delivery of a high-quality customer experience with experience working within a public Customer Service area.
  • Excellent written, telephone and face to face communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative in the performance of duties and work with limited supervision.


The hourly rate for this opportunity starts at $38 per hour (Grade B, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
