  • Band 8 - Salary Range $123,831 to $138,629 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Engineering and Asset Services team to project manage and deliver Council’s major Civil projects. Reporting to the Design & Investigation Coordinator you will collaborate closely across all levels of Council, external stakeholders and residents, to ensure that projects align with community needs and priorities.

You will be responsible to deliver sustainable, resilient and efficiency civil projects making a tangible impact on the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program management of Council’s Corridor projects inclusive of the planning, design and construction phases.
  • Bring together diverse teams of staff, consultants and contractors to deliver projects in a coordinated, responsible and inclusive manner, ensuring that all environmental, commercial, and legal requirements of projects are managed efficiently and effectively.
  • Effectively oversee the stakeholder engagement of major civil projects to achieve best-practice outcomes for Council.
  • Establish and lead project working groups of external and internal stakeholders to inform the development of the major projects and keeping parties informed throughout the delivery of the projects

About you
 

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Degree qualified in relevant field, Civil Engineering or project management preferable but not essential.
  • Extensive experience in project and contract management relating to civil engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and project management including an ability to manage complex projects and deliver effective outcomes in a timely, efficient, and collaborative manner.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
