Community Engagement Officer

About the role:

The City of Ballarat currently has an opportunity for two experienced community engagement professionals to join the Engaged Communities team. The Community Engagement Officers will work across the organisation to support quality community engagement practice, build capacity of Council to deliver innovative and accessible engagement, and will develop partnerships in the community to ensure our residents can have input into Council decisions. There will be a focus on activating engagement in the community with an annual event and localised opportunities.

About you:

The successful applicants will have experience planning, delivering and evaluating community engagement activities and be able to establish positive working relationships with a diverse range of people. With a passion for innovation, you will be motivated to deliver quality work and thrive in a busy role. Some after-hours and weekend work will be required, with reasonable notice.
