We deliver 21 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 370,000 residents. 

The Role

  • You will provide nutritional meals that meet dietary needs for all the children in the Lakemba Children’s Centre.
  • Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Ensure the Customer Experience is delivered in line with the Centres Customer Service Charter
  • Prepare menus using the nutrition checklist for menu planning and reviewed by NSW Health
  • Communicate with Centre Director regarding menu planning
  • Display menus for families in a timely manner
  • Plan menus for children's meals that meet nutritional standards and dietary requriements
  • Order sufficient food/ingredients for all children in the centre and monitor waste
  • Follow food safety guidelines to preapare meals for children
  • Be aware of allergies & anaphylaxis.

You will have:

  • Current Food Handling Certificate
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (FSS) 
  • All current and relevant food handling/food safety training and hygeince practices
  • Working with Children Check
  • Enthusiasm, initiative and an ability to work autonomously and within a team. 
  • Experience in preparation of meals for large numbers of people
  • Sound knowledge of Food Handling
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Dietary Guidelines.

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $60,220 (Grade B, Step 1) + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
