About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Executive and Civic Services, the Coordinator Civic Support performs the key role of supervising the functions of the Civic Support team, providing executive and civic support to the City of Ballarat Mayor and Councillors. As the Coordinator Civic Support, you will provide demonstrated leadership to the team across all facets of support including diary and event management, provision of strategic and advisory support, the coordination and delivery of civic events and citizenship ceremonies and coordination of communications across the organisation and externally on behalf of the office of the City of Ballarat Mayor and Councillors.
This position has a salary range from $102,015 -$112,968 per annum plus statutory superannuation with a monthly rostered day off (RDO).
About you
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat is seeking an experienced professional with demonstrated discretion throughout an extensive track record in the provision of executive and advisory support. The successful applicant will demonstrate sound experience in managing and leading a multidisciplined team, coupled with exceptional stakeholder relationship skills including the ability to manage complex stakeholder enquiries. Previous experience within a political environment with a detailed understanding of local, state and federal government context will be highly regarded.
