The role

Key responsibilities undertaken by the Crew Leader Gardener include:

• Assist with the implementation of Council’s Parks and Gardens works program
• Contribute to the direction of the team by providing input to review of systems and processes team to ensure a flexible and responsive service delivery
• Maintain vehicles, plant and equipment to a satisfactory standard
• Plan and organise the required resources to accomplish maintenance tasks in line with service standards
• Promote and implement appropriate WHS practices and procedures in all aspects of unit operations

Our ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Relevant experience and qualifications
• A minimum Level 3 Horticultural certificate and experience in open space maintenance
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a small team, while also working cooperatively as part of a team
• Strong commitment to and understanding
• A current light truck drivers licence
