Temporary Full-Time up to 8 months          35 hours, 5 days/week (Mon to Sun bandwidth)           $83,635.86 to $91,643.51 pro rata + 12% super

JOB DESCRIPTION
Liverpool Powerhouse is a cultural facility for Liverpool City Council. The Centre, based in South West Sydney has four dedicated galleries across two sites (Liverpool Powerhouse and Yellamundie Library). We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as Curatorial Assistant Exhibitions Administrator for a period of 8 months.

The Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Administrator position is a crucial role in the Curatorial and Collections team and be responsible for administrative duties associated with the planning and successful realisation of exhibitions hosted at the Gallery or any subsequent touring venues.

Working with the Curatorial and Collections Team, the position will also assist with documenting projects, collection of information to draft loan agreements, liaise with artists and galleries, assist with the grant applications and acquittals, curatorial research, and the coordination of the installation of exhibitions as required.  

ABOUT YOU
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:

  • Appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Current Class C Drivers licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative processes and coordination of exhibitions and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in relation to contractual obligations, lender agreements and procurement processes.
  • Experience in research and delivery of contemporary art exhibitions including design and installation.
  • Knowledge and experience in coordinating multiple projects and delivering project-based tasks and activities.
