Job Description
The role of Development Control Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of land use compliance and regulation services to protect and enhance both the natural and built environment. This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community. Applicant Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Bachelor degree in Environmental Health, Town Planning, Building Surveying,
Investigations or relevant field OR demonstrated solid contemporary
experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
• Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of planning and Local
Government legislation
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in working with Environmental
Planning and Assessment legislation
• Demonstrated ability to prepare formal reports and correspondence relating
to planning and building legislation
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of court evidence and
representation of Council or other Authority in legal proceedings
• Demonstrated advanced complaint investigation skills
• Demonstrated ability to complete work and deliver according to project
schedules and deadlines.
Offer Details
The commencing salary for this position is up to $100,549k Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $116,501 on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
• We have a temporary full-time
• This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
• We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role
• This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
