About you

To excel in this role, you must enjoy engaging with different stakeholders and be comfortable with public speaking. You’ll love to have a chat and educate anyone who’ll listen. And it wouldn’t hurt if you are passionate about diverting waste from landfill and making every drop count.

You are a gifted storyteller and an excellent writer of simply plain English. You will bring with you a sense of adventure and be driven to collaborate with your colleagues, which brings out the best in you - but go it alone when needed, to get the job done. Dare to be different and try new ways of communicating and engaging in the digital world, with internal and external stakeholders, but also be open to others’ ideas and opinions. You are comfortable asking the hard questions and always working towards managing the reputation of ARC.

You will be joining a team of dedicated and respected colleagues that work together within the organisation and across the region to restore the ARC brand and reputation and deliver services and opportunities for the Armidale region to thrive. Engaging with the community often means you may sometimes have to work outside of normal working hours, however ARC prides itself on working with staff to support a balanced lifestyle and offers a nine-day fortnight (Long weekend every second week, woohoo!).

We are committed to diversity and have a values-based culture that has been driven by supporting and unsupported behaviours developed collaboratively by all staff. Individuals will be respected and listened to no matter their status or position within the organisation.
