The Opportunity
Working within the Venue and Events team, you will be responsible for assisting the Venue and Events Facilitator in delivering all aspects of Council led community events and the preparation of Council’s event venues, including TYTO and the JL Kelly Theatre. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring events are planned and delivered as required.  You will be highly organised, have excellent communication and customer service skills, enjoy working in a busy team environment and have good computer skills.
  
Council is flexible to considering applicants interested in either a fulltime or part time opportunity, however it is essential that you have flexibility to work outside normal business hours on occasion.

Skills and Qualifications:
 

  • Demonstrated ability to assist with planning and coordinating a variety of events, such as conferences, theatre shows, and corporate functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure while maintaining professionalism and calmness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to easily build rapport with internal and external clients.
  • Strong administration skills including strong computer literacy, especially in the use of MS Office Suite and social media.
  • An energetic team player, who proactively looks to assist where possible and can work autonomously.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours on occasion.

  • Full-time role with a 72.5-hour fortnight, including a 9-day fortnight with RDOs per Council policy. Potential part-time options are also available.

General Salary Information

Level 3 Full Time range of $74,890 - $80,409 per annum or prorata for part time plus superannuation.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements 

Pre-employment screening includes Medicals, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and Criminal History Checks to ensure capability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
