Part TimeMansfield Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and community focused individual to take up the role of GIS Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the GIS (Geographical Information Services) and must possess a sound knowledge of an array of technical accountabilities, including managing large-scale spatial projects, liaising with Land Victoria regarding ongoing maintenance and updating processes of the map base and participating in the expansion of mobile GIS technology usage within council. Reporting to the Manager Engineering Services, the GIS Officer’s responsibilities include providing Geographic Information System and service with relevant geospatial datasets to Council departments, act as custodian for Council’s geospatial information, provide up-to-date Council-managed geospatial information to relevant external parties, liaise with Council departments regarding the provision, maintenance and analysis of geospatial information and assist in strategic planning and development of information platforms which are dependent on geospatial information. Remuneration will be based on Band 6 Level A classification which currently equates to $87,215.44 (pro rata) per annum ($44.1373 per hour) plus superannuation according to the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2024.
