We're looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner to play a pivotal role in delivering proactive, prevention-focused health, safety and wellbeing outcomes across Council. This is an opportunity to work closely with leaders and employees to build capability, manage risk and support a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace.

What you'll be doing

 

• Provide trusted advice and guidance on occupational health and safety, risk management and compliance obligations
• Manage WorkCover claims and coordinating effective return-to-work outcomes
• Partner with leaders to strengthen safety leadership, accountability and risk ownership
• Lead incident investigations and supporting the identification and implementation of corrective actions
• Investigate psychosocial hazards and supporting initiatives that promote psychological health and wellbeing
• Deliver training, coaching and continuous improvement activities that strengthen workplace safety performance
  
   

What you'll bring

 

• Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resources, Injury Management or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation, WorkCover and Return-to-Work requirements
• Experience in health and safety, injury management or advisory roles
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills
• Strong analytical thinking, risk assessment and problem-solving capabilities
