Your New Career

The Human Resources team oversees the complete employee lifecycle, from hiring to departure. Human Resources handles all aspects related to personnel, including recruitment, performance management, staff benefits, compliance with employee legislation, policy development, and employee engagement.

What you will bring to the Role

We are currently looking for a suitably skilled and qualified HRBP who is passionate about helping people and making a positive impact on our people.   

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to interpret it.
  • The ability to build collaborative relationships across the organisation.
  • Skills to undertake investigations, conflict and grievance resolution processes where required.
  • Experience in coaching people leaders and employees in the provision of strategic and operational advice.
  • Ability to assist where required in the performance management process ensuring relevant processes and policies are followed.
  • Skills in preparing employee statistical reports, surveys and general HR information, as required.

Key Selection Criteria

Mandatory Qualifications, Experience and Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in Human Resources and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Human Resource Business Partner role.
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across diverse business units and leaders.
  • Experience working with formal processes and systems that require attention to detail, accuracy and data management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Qualification Check
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
    A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
