Human Resources & Training Officer

The Bulloo Shire is located in the far Southwest corner of Outback Queensland and covers an area of 73,600 square kilometers (4.26%), making it the third largest Shire in the State.

We are a modern-day Council, that is consistently focused on improving our facilities, venues, infrastructure and plant. This Council is committed to supporting growth and development in our Shire and not let our towns become a casualty of limited employment, and declining population.

REQUIREMENTS

• January 2026 Start
• Current Roller Operator Ticket and Light Rigid (or willingness to obtain)
• Construction Induction (White Card) or willing to obtain before starting
• Proven experience in roller operation and basic equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
• Strong time management and job planning skills
• Ability to identify on-site hazards and follow safety protocols
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

AWARD & AGREEMENT

This position is governed by the Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - State 2017 and the Bulloo Shire Council Employees Certified Agreement. Salary and conditions will be determined in accordance with the relevant provisions of these agreements.
