The City of Ballarat is seeking expressions of interest for an independent member vacancy on its Audit and Risk Committee (Committee).

The Committee is established under the Local Government Act 2020, and is formally appointed by and reports to the Council.

The Committee provides advice and recommendations on matters outlined in the Audit and Risk Committee Charter (attached). 

Eligibility:

  • Board or committee experience
  • Financial management, risk, or public sector expertise
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to integrity

Details:

  • Three-year (3) appointment
  • Four (4) scheduled in-person meetings per year
