The role:
Council has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate Intervention Services Support Worker to join our Community Services team in the Upper Hunter Shire LGA.

As an Intervention Services Support Worker, you will provide vital support and assistance to children under 12 years of age and their families. Your work will focus on improving health, well-being, safety, and resilience across the Upper Hunter community.
This is a Mandatory Reporter position and plays a key role in ensuring children are safe, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.

- A salary range from $1268 – $1420.20 per 35 hour week (based on relevant skills and experience) + 12% super and the opportunity for salary progression.

What we need from you:
Our ideal candidate will:
- Hold relevant qualifications in Community Services or related discipline with experience working with children
(under 12 years) and families.
- Have a sound understanding of case management and child-focused practices.
- Have an understanding of child development, vulnerabilities and risk factors that affect health and
well-being.
- Possess a current Working with Children Check and approved First Aid Certificate.
- Have an understanding of the Child Safe Standards and ability to apply these in your everyday
work.
