Do you have a love of books, learning new things, and helping people? Are you looking for a job in a friendly and supportive environment?  Yass Valley Council have the perfect temporary part-time position for students aged 15-17.  

We are seeking students who are enrolled and attending school in either Year 10 or 11 in 2027. The successful applicant will provide general library and customer service duties with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships between Council and the community.

The role involves working as a co-operative team member and contributing to the enhancement of team outputs. We offer opportunities for learning and development, a friendly and supportive team environment, and the chance to share your love of learning and reading with our community.

About you
You must be:

• Enrolled and attending school in either Year 10 or 11 in 2027
• Friendly, positive, and willing to learn
• Reliable and able to follow instructions, policies, and procedures
• Able to communicate effectively with library visitors and team members

You will need to work a minimum of 6 hours per week, Thursday - 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Saturday - 10:00am - 1:00pm, additional hours may be available during school holidays.

Renumeration

• Junior Age 15 - $14.32 per hour
• Junior Age 16 - $17.88 per hour
• Junior Age 17 - $21.02 per hour
