Helping Deliver Meals That Matter
Looking for more than just a kitchen job?
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to support food services at the Eastern Goldfields Community Centre (EGCC). This role plays an important part in delivering meals, supporting community programs and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.
As part of the City's food services workforce, you also have opportunities to work across a range of City-operated facilities and contribute to meal services, functions, events and community programs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chef or delegated supervisor, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through:
Food preparation, portioning and plating
Assisting with meal service activities
Preparing ingredients, salads, desserts and other meal components
Operating and cleaning commercial dishwashing equipment
Maintaining kitchen, storage and service areas to a high standard
Assisting with stock deliveries, storage and stock rotation
Supporting food safety, hygiene and temperature recording requirements
Working collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure reliable meal delivery
Supporting community events and functions as required.
This position may also work across other City operated facilities, including the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, as operational requirements arise.
