We are looking for committed and hardworking Labourers - Landscape Services to join our team. This position demands a strong emphasis on safety, environmental awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

As a Landscape Services Labourer, you will:

• Maintain and upgrade gardens, turfed areas, and other landscape features
• Establish new gardens and turf areas as required, adhering to safety and environmental guidelines
• Ensure public areas and facilities are presented in a safe and sanitary manner
• Monitor, report, and promptly address any defects or issues within the landscapes
• Communicate effectively with the public and liaise with other Council staff as needed
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or the team

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Current Queensland Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s Licence or the ability to obtain one
• A White Card (General Safety Construction) certification
• Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 1 & Part 2 (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain
• Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labouring tasks
• Previous experience in landscape maintenance activities
• Knowledge and experience in pest, disease, and weed management practices
• Sound understanding of chemical use in horticulture
• Proficiency in operating horticultural machinery
