Senior Asset & Operations Officer

The Shire of Dundas is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Asset & Operations Officer to join our Works & Services team.

This is a full-time position based in Norseman, responsible for coordinating the Shire's day-to-day infrastructure and maintenance operations across our diverse regional road network and community assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager Works & Services, you will:

• Support the development and coordination the Shire's annual works program, and supervise its delivery.
• Lead works crews and contractors undertaking road construction and maintenance.
• Assist with the delivery of capital works projects.
• Coordinate maintenance of roads, drainage, parks, airports, landfill and other community infrastructure.
• Monitor works budgets and project progress.
• Assist with asset inspections and maintenance planning.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in civil construction, road maintenance or local government operations.
• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and contractors.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating works programs and projects.
• A sound understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Certificate IV in Civil Construction, Local Government, Project Management or equivalent experience.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence and White Card.
