In this vital role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of high-quality, evidence-informed Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Immunisation and Supported Playgroup services.
  • Work within Family and Community Services Department to ensure services are accessible, responsive, and tailored to the diverse needs of our community.
  • Lead, manage and coach staff to practice Banyule values in their daily work with families, children and their professional colleagues.
  • Promote positive health and well-being outcomes for families, empowering them to thrive.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Work in partnership with key agencies including Berry St, Child Protection and the Department of Health.
  • Oversee operational planning, compliance, and workforce development to foster excellence and sustainability in MCH services.

What you'll bring/what we are looking for

  • Graduate Diploma or Masters in Maternal and Child Health, and registration both as Division 1 Nurse and midwife
  • Considerable experience in the field of Community Health provision
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the delivery of Maternal and Child Health and other community support services (e.g. Immunisation) in a community setting together with implementation of continuous improvement principles.
  • Proven skills and experience in leading and coordinating staff to bring out the best in a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge and capacity to identify potential risk issues relating to the delivery of an early years’ service in a community setting, including legal responsibilities under a clinical governance framework.
  • AHPRA registration
  • Current CPR / First Aid certification

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (Previously known as a police checks)
  • Working With Children Check
  • Psychometric Assessment
  • Provide evidence of qualifications
