About the Job
Esperance Home Care is seeking a motivated and organised Meal Service Administrator/Cook to coordinate and manage our meal service program.
This rewarding role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of meals for our Meals on Wheels service, operating five days per week, as well as providing catering support for activities and groups attending the Home Care Centre. Catering requirements may include morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch services.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and managing the administrative functions of the Esperance Home Care Meal Service.
Overseeing meal planning, ordering and budgeting to maintain a financially sustainable service.
Preparing and coordinating meals in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
Liaising with suppliers to ensure the timely supply and delivery of goods.
Ensuring compliance with the Esperance Home Care Food Safety Program.
Supporting and coordinating staff and volunteers involved in meal service operations.
Contributing to the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of clients and centre participants.
This is a permanent part-time position, working a minimum of 19.5 hours per week. Flexibility to provide leave coverage when required is essential.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of food service experience, organisational skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the community.
You will have:
Qualifications relevant to the hospitality industry such as Food Safety Supervision Skill Set and/or demonstrated experience in coordinating a food service.
Experience in the supervision of staff.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to client service delivery and the ability to work cooperatively to meet client requirements.
Benefits
Hourly Rate: $38.96
Permanent staff are entitled to:
5 weeks annual leave per year
