The opportunity

As a Parking Officer, you'll help keep our community safe, accessible and moving by undertaking parking patrols, inspections and compliance activities across the municipality. This hands-on, field-based role combines enforcement, customer service and community education, ensuring parking regulations are applied fairly and consistently while supporting positive community outcomes

What you’ll do

• Conduct parking patrols and monitor compliance with parking restrictions.
• Issue infringements, warnings and compliance notices in line with legislation and Council procedures.
• Educate and engage with residents, motorists and businesses to encourage voluntary compliance.
• Respond to parking-related enquiries, complaints and service requests professionally.
• Maintain accurate enforcement records and supporting evidence.

What you need to succeed

• Experience in compliance, enforcement, customer service or field-based operational work. 
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policies.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and record-keeping systems.

Pre-Employment Requirements 

Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, a Pre-Employment Medical Check & a Working With Children Check (WWCC). Candidates must also hold a valid Victorian Driver's License. 

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted working rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
