We are seeking a dedicated and experienced People and Performance Operational Team Leader to join our dynamic team.

The role:

Working closely with the People and Performance Leadership team, along with relevant stakeholders, the successful candidate will direct and lead a team of specialist business partners to deliver strategic and operational HR services to the City of Salisbury.

Duties:

  • Develop the team to ensure Organisational Specialist Business Partners have core knowledge across People and Performance services.
  • Embed the organisational business partner model and culture within the team to ensure customer service and stakeholder management expectations are met. 
  • Provide specialist employee relations advice, wellbeing management and support, including negotiation of Enterprise Agreements and other Agreements as required. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of the People Strategy to ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Review, develop and implement the policy framework for team functions responding to organisational structure and needs. 
  • Provide coaching and advice for managers and team members inclusive of the Senior Leadership team, to build HR capability, understanding, enhancing and improving management of teams in line with the People Strategy.
  • Deliver organisational business partner services to managers and build capability to deliver business objectives and provide oversight of specialist business partner functions.

Specialist Skills & experience:

  • Experience in strategic and operational human resource management.
  • Proven success in leading and developing a multi-functional professional team to deliver industrial relations, employee relations, talent management, performance management, workforce planning, generalist human resources support.
  • Proven experience in relation to resolution of industrial relations matters, enterprise agreement negotiation and dispute resolution. 
  • Working knowledge of contemporary organisational and human resources initiatives. 
  • High level leadership, management and change management skills.
  • Proven success in managing process and system improvement projects to achieve positive change
