People & Safety Support Officer

The City of Bunbury is seeking a dedicated and highly organised individual to fill the role of Support Officer within our People and Safety team.

This part-time position (22.8hrs per week) is a fixed-term role for 12 months, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to provide administrative support to our dynamic team.

The remuneration for this position is $41.23 per hour, excluding superannuation.

About the Role:

As the People & Safety Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the People and Safety Team, ensuring prompt and effective assistance to both internal and external staff and stakeholders.

Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining records, working closely with the Manager of People & Safety, and providing back-up support for the payroll partner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide helpful, efficient, and courteous customer service to all internal and external queries.
• Assist with the creation and distribution of People & Safety information, including intranet updates.
• Compile reports, including the annual Equal Employment Opportunity report and Workforce plan reports.
• Provide payroll backup for the Payroll Partner, including payroll processing and answering inquiries.

With previous experience in administration, a general knowledge of Human Resources, and payroll with a qualification or demonstrated experience in a related field you will hit the ground running in this dynamic support role.
