Join City of Moreton Bay as a Principal Community Resilience and Recovery Officer, and lead projects that help our communities prepare for disasters and support recovery within the community.
This role is jointly funded by the Queensland Government and Commonwealth, Category C Community Health and Wellbeing Package related to community recovery from the 2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather (Queensland Reconstruction Authority) . It is a fixed term project role.
About you
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in planning and delivering community projects in partnership with community organisations and residents. Due to the time-limited, project nature of the role, we need someone who can hit the ground running and will be comfortable navigating processes and approvals through large organisations. You will bring experience in:
Reporting to the Community Development Coordinator, you will lead the planning and delivery of projects designed to enhance community resilience and support recovery from disaster events. This will include:
Due to the nature of the role, occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
