About the Role

As part of our Capital Delivery Unit within Economy & Development, the Programme Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Council’s capital programmes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple projects, has strong organisational skills, and takes pride in providing accurate, timely information that supports good decision-making. You’ll work closely with Programme Managers, project teams and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmes are well-coordinated, risks are visible, and reporting is clear and consistent.

As our Programme Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide programme and project coordination support across capital delivery programmes
  • Assist with programme planning, resource forecasting and financial schedules
  • Prepare and maintain programme-level reporting, including updates, risks and issues
  • Monitor project plans, budgets, work hours and expenditure
  • Coordinate governance meetings, including agendas, minutes and papers
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation, registers and records
  • Support effective stakeholder engagement across Council and with external partners
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, risk management and opportunity identification

About You

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working collaboratively in a delivery-focused environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience working as a programme or project coordinator
  • Confidence working with programme finances, tracking budgets and expenditure
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or other programme/project management tools
