The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a Programming Officer. Are you passionate for a better future for young people in the Fremantle / Walyalup area? Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate programs and projects that enable engagement and participation of

young people in local cultural life.

• Oversee the co-ordination and promotion of the FYN, and youth engagement with FYN meetings and

activities.

• Actively engage in partnership development with agencies and service providers to facilitate and support

youth-determined activities.

• Promote and market Youth programs, events and initiatives and evaluate effectiveness.

To be considered for this position, you will need

• Experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of programs that support youth participation and

inclusion.

• Strong relationship building skills and experience working with community organisations, schools and

service providers.

• Knowledge of contemporary youth issues and the ability to engage diverse young people through co-design

approaches.

• Strong communication, organisational and reporting skills, including program monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in community development, social services or equivalent relevant experience.

• Current WA “C” class driver’s license (or equivalent).

• Willingness to undertake National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check.

• Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).

• Senior First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain).
