About the Job

There is an exciting opportunity with the Shire of Esperance Rangers for a Coordinator Ranger Services. The role of Coordinator Ranger Services is to effectively lead and coordinate the Ranger Services Team to ensure compliance and conformity with Acts, Regulations, Local Laws and policies in a fair, equitable and transparent manner, and to deliver outcomes of the Council Plan.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide Ranger Services with technical advice and professional support to resolve issues.
  • Manage and prepare Ranger Services rosters to ensure adequate coverage is provided across allocated hours of operation and for on call and patrol activities.
  • Ensure Ranger Services responsibilities and functions are undertaken in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 and other relevant state legislation, associated regulations and local laws, and policies.

This is a permanent full-time position,  working a minimum of 38 hours per week.  

About you 

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

  • Suitable qualification, either Associate Diploma or Certificate IV in a relevant field, or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar Local Government role.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience with the ability to work in and promote a team environment
  • Good level of computer skills including use of Microsoft applications, email, internet and GIS.

Benefits

Salary: $94,580.00 per annum
