Are you dedicated to maintaining beautiful and functional open spaces? The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a proactive and reliable General Hand for our Reserves team. If you have a passion for preserving our reserves and are committed to high standards of presentation, we want to hear from you!

Primary Purpose of the Position: As a General Hand, you will be responsible for performing tasks and duties to achieve a high standard of presentation for the City’s reserves and open spaces. Reporting to the Supervisor Reserves, you will ensure that our facilities are maintained effectively, enhancing the community's enjoyment and use of these vital areas.

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist in achieving departmental goals and obligations.
• Operate equipment and perform maintenance tasks associated with facility upkeep.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, maintaining a helpful and positive image for the City.
• Monitor costs and use resources efficiently to manage expenses.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of all plant and equipment.
• Promote a safe working environment with a strong focus on safety and duty of care.
• Adhere to all City policies and procedures, ensuring personal and others' safety at work.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor Parks, Coordinator of City Presentation, or Manager Operations.
