About the Opportunity

Are you looking for a new opportunity or challenge?  Do you have excellent organisational and time management skills?  Council has an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the Finance team in the role of Senior Accountant.

Utilising your expertise in accounting, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate financial information to the organisation.  You will also work collaboratively with all areas of the organisation to provide a customer focused finance service that delivers innovative solutions and improved practices.

What you need to Thrive

• Knowledge of accounting and financial systems, procedures and experience in preparation/collation of budgets, annual reports, management reports and financial submissions in a large organisation.
• Well developed skills in managing time, setting priorities, and coordinating tasks to achieve specific and set objectives with conflicting pressures.
• Ability to manage, prioritise and adapt to a changing work environment due to technological development, changes in work procedures and organisational change whilst maintaining a high level of quality.
• Completion of a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or Business is essential.
