Temporary Full-Time – 12 month parental leave cover (35 hours per week) 

The role:
Council is seeking a dedicated Senior Compliance Officer to join our compliance team, in a 12 month, temporary parental relief role. This position is responsible for efficiently and effectively administering the compliance functions of Council and investigating complaints in relation to compliance matters. The position will also be responsible for acting as a mentor and undertaking training of trainees and casual staff. The role will also be required to oversee the daily operations of the animal management facility ensuring the welfare, safety and rehoming of companion animals.

What we need from you: 
If you are an experienced Compliance Officer with relevant qualifications, then this opportunity is perfect for you! You will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have a demonstrated ability to handle companion and other animals.

Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks, in particular the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of associated policies, regulations and guidelines related to regulatory enforcement and compliance. This role also requires someone with effective public relations and customer service skills.
