As well as having great analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to providing customer service, you will ideally have the following:

• Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and principles
• Demonstrated previous experience in an intermediate accounting or taxation position.
• Well-developed written communication skills.
• Well-developed knowledge and experience working with a computerised accounting system(s).
• Well-developed skills using Microsoft Office products.

The person in this role assists in preparing the monthly financial reports for Council and management, assisting with the preparation of the annual financial reports and maintaining the Authority Asset Register.

Furthermore, you would ensure the integrity of the recording and reporting of the City's taxation obligations in accordance with all relevant legislation.

On top of your competitive salary of to $88,555 - $96,187 gross - depending on skills and experience, you will be joining a supportive team working towards the same goals.
