The City of Karratha is looking for an enthusiastic Wickham Recreation Precinct (WRP) Coordinator to oversee the operations of the Wickham Recreation Precinct, Wickham Community Hub, and Roebourne Aquatic Centre.

As the WRP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role

in enhancing community wellness and engagement

through high-quality programs, facility

management, and exceptional customer service.

You will lead a team to deliver a variety of sport and

recreation programs, ensuring our facilities are well-

maintained, financially sustainable, and meet the

diverse needs of our growing community.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of WRP,

WCH, and RAC, ensuring safe, clean, and

welcoming facilities.

• Develop and implement exciting sport and

recreation programs that cater to all ages and

abilities.

• Lead and mentor a team, fostering a positive and

productive workplace culture.

• Develop business plans and marketing strategies

to drive community participation and revenue

growth.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Tertiary qualifications in Recreation, Business

Management, or a related field (desirable).

• Demonstrated experience in managing sport and

recreation facilities and developing community

programs.

• Strong leadership and team management skills

with a passion for community development.

• Excellent customer service and stakeholder

engagement abilities.
