About the Opportunity
Council has an opportunity for the right person to join the Transport Infrastructure Team in Molong as a Site Supervisor.
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day labour workforce and any external contractors employed under your control in the delivery of Council’s capital works programmes, ensuring all works are completed to required quality standards.
Work teams are led by a supportive and proactive leadership team. You will be provided support and training in line with Council's values to learn the role and ensure our workers are resilient, adaptive and are able to perform to Council and community expectations.

This fulltime position operates over a 38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight, with opportunity for overtime.

Skills and Experience
- Sound knowledge and experience in civil construction operations.
- Experience and ability to set out from engineering plans.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated commitment to a team-based approach, reliability, and punctuality, with a proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and organise own work and that of subordinate employees.
- Ability to supervise, coach and mentor direct reports.
- Lead by example and manage team’s performance to achieve expected outputs.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of work health and safety, environmental management and risk management and an ability to apply them to the work practices.
- Ability to perform calculations.
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
Essential
- Construction Induction Certification (White Card).
- Class C drivers licence.
- Traffic Guidance Scheme qualifications
- Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated commitment to a team-based approach, reliability and punctuality, with an proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Displays a positive attitude.
Desirable
- HRW licence for regulated plant

- Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
- This position is graded 7 in Council's salary system.
- Gross weekly wage range is $1310.10 to $1410.90 dependent upon qualifications and experience.
