We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial and Employee Relations Business Partner to join our dynamic team.

At City of Salisbury we understand the crucial role that employee relations and industrial harmony play in achieving business objectives. As the Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will manage the end to end recruitment process including, medicals, employment checks and onboarding.

Working closely with the People and Performance Leadership team, People and Performance Specialised Business Partners along with relevant stakeholders, the successful candidate will join a team of passionate professionals who are genuinely engaged in making City of Salisbury a Great Place to Work.

The role:

Reporting to the People and Performance Operations Team Leader as part of a broader People & Performance team, this crucial position will offer expert advice, support, and direction on various workplace concerns. Responsibilities include conducting meticulous investigations into employee grievances, allegations of misconduct, harassment, and other workplace issues.

Duties:

  • Manage the end to end Recruitment process including, medicals, employment checks, reference checks, advertising and tracking of recruitment actions
  • Provide timely and accurate services in the recruitment process, including the lodgment of advertisements and positions online.
  • Provide support to leaders in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Build relationships with external agencies engaged in the Talent Acquisition process including our labour hire panel.
  • Produce accurate and timely contracts of employment, welcome packs and other employment change documentation.
  • Proactively manage day to day processes to ensure data integrity, quality reporting and ensure candidate communications remain consistent

Specialist Skills & experience:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including influencing and report writing skills.
  • A skills and behavioural orientation towards innovation, adaptation and change.
  • Proven experience in human resources and or customer service functions within a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary human resources team and or customer service team.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellence in customer relationship management and service delivery to stakeholders
