Technical Specialist – Civil Design

  • Salary: $111,283 – $117,650 per annum
  • Plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)
  • Full Time Position with part time options  - (3 to 4 days a week will be considered pro-rata)

The City is seeking a qualified Technical Specialist Civil Design to deliver a range of exciting project concepts and designs for the City’s Engineering Capital Works Program including dual lane roundabouts, intersections, carparks, and road upgrades. This is a hands-on role where you will provide expertise and technical advice to stakeholders, manage projects and contracts, mentor our graduates, and deliver exceptional customer service.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability to obtain the following;

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in the use of civil design software packages including AutoCAD, 12D, and AutoTurn.
  • Construction Safety Induction Card (White Card).
  • WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.

  • Sound knowledge and experience in civil engineering and design practices.
  • Extensive experience in project and contract management of civil works.
  • Experience developing and designing civil engineering projects, including cost estimates.
  • Well developed knowledge of Technical standards and specifications relating to road and drainage design such as MRWA, Austroads, Australian Standards, and AR&R.
