Cook Shire Council is looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Buildings and Facilities team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to put your practical skills to work while helping maintain the buildings and facilities that our community relies on every day.

What you'll be doing
Working alongside our experienced trades team, you'll help keep Council's buildings and facilities safe, functional and well maintained.

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance work
• Assist qualified trades with construction, fabrication and installation projects
• Help deliver capital and other building works
• Keep worksites, tools, plant and equipment clean, safe and ready to go
• Travel to remote areas of Cook Shire when needed

No two days will necessarily look the same - and that's part of the fun!

What we're looking for
We’re after someone who is practical, reliable, safety-focused and takes pride in a job well done.

• Current Qld Class C drivers licence (manual preferred)
• Construction White Card
• Experience in building, construction or facilities maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
