The Opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Waste Services team as a Transfer Station Attendant. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 19 hours per week, operating on a rotating roster with some weekend and public holiday shifts required.
As a Waste Service Operator, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of the Rural City of Wangaratta’s Transfer Station Network, including locations in Wangaratta, Eldorado, Markwood, and Moyhu. You’ll assist local residents and businesses in maximizing recycling efforts and diverting waste from the landfill, helping to promote a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious community.
While experience with Waste Transfer Station operations is highly desirable, we are open to applicants who demonstrate a passion for learning and a commitment to providing courteous, professional customer service.
