Treasury and Reporting Accountant

• This role delivers treasury management, tax compliance, statutory reporting, and internal audit and compliance activities, ensuring financial operations are efficient, accurate, risk-aware, and fully compliant, while supporting strong financial stewardship and public value outcomes.

The core skillset that we are seeking in the incumbent is someone who is:

• Is meticulous, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally

• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapts well to change

• Has a high level of computer literacy, including experience with integrated financial systems and Microsoft Office applications

• You enjoy improving systems and processes and take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable outcomes

Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, financial management or related field.

• Five plus years’ experience in treasury and reporting services

• Previous experience in Local Government would be an advantage

Mō te tīma | About the team

• You will be part of the Financial Accounting and Rates team, a collaborative group of around 18 people who support the organisation’s financial stewardship and accountability.

• This role works closely with the Financial Controller, financial accountants, external auditors, and external fund managers and advisors.
