The Details:

Support our Roads and Drains regional services team by operating Council trucks, primarily tipper trucks, to transport materials within the City of Moreton Bay area for the Roads and Drains work crews.

In this role, you will:

• ensure safe and timely delivery of materials 
• operate tipper trucks and any other equipment according to licence and training requirements 
• conduct daily vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance on trucks and other equipment where applicable
• carry out general labouring tasks on occasion when not driving the truck 

Your duties will involve safely transporting and unloading materials at designated locations, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining efficient operations. You'll be performing pre start inspections, follow proper loading and unloading procedures and collaborating with the crews to maximise efficiency. 

Additionally you'll be responsible for keeping your vehicle clean and well maintained, reporting any defects promptly and complying with all relevant Council processes and safety procedures.

About you

You have experience operating trucks and plant in a construction or operational maintenance environment and understand the importance of working safely and following procedures.

You’ll bring:

• Experience operating tipper trucks or similar equipment
• A strong focus on safe operation, including loading and unloading materials
• Ability to carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance and defect reporting
• Willingness to undertake general labouring tasks when required
• Ability to work effectively within a crew environment and follow direction

Mandatory Requirements

• A current truck licence (minimum - HR/Heavy Rigid) 
• Construction Induction Card
