The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a Truck Driver/ Labourer to assist with the implementation of operational and capital works programs, consisting of constructing and maintaining municipal infrastructure

Key Responsibilities
• Truck driving (including dual axel tippers).
• Operate all plant and equipment related to the construction and maintenance of municipal infrastructure as
directed by the Assistant Works Controller such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, steel drum rollers,
padfoot rollers, forklifts, multi rollers, jack hammers, compactors, road cutting saws, picks and shovels etc.
• Assist with preparation of work sites as directed by the Assistant Works Controller including setting out
levels and reading plans.
• Provide relief in other business units as directed by the supervisors.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of service to both external and internal customers.
• Assist with organising contractors for various projects as directed by the Assistant Works Controller.
Operate all equipment and undertake all the necessary skills as classified at level 4 and below in
accordance with City of Fremantle outside workforce agreement.
• Maintain accurate work records such as daily timesheets, material load dockets, plant pre-start sheets,
safety sheets, quality sheets etc.
To be considered for this position, you will need
• Be able to meet the ergonomic requirements of the position.
• Have good communication and customer service skills.
• Be an effective team member.
• Basic understanding of traffic management.
• Current HR class license.
• Current white or blue construction card
