About the role

An exciting volunteer opportunity to drive youth-led projects across Ballarat!

The role of Youth Services Volunteer is an opportunity to meet other young people, build your skills and gain real world experience whilst contributing positively to Ballarat’s community of young people. This is a City of Ballarat volunteer role, facilitated by the Youth Services Team.

During the application process, you can choose from three different youth volunteer programs (please see the role statement for more info on each program):

 

  1. - Youth Ambassador
  2. - Youth Events Team
  3. - Sonika

About you

You are aged between 13 and 25 years old and have a clear passion for creating vibrant events and campaigns for other young people in Ballarat. You want to connect with young people in your community and have a go at new experiences in a safe environment.

No previous experience is required for the role of Youth Services Volunteer. Our Youth Services team will support you with opportunities to try new things and learn as you go.

Essential Criteria:

  • You will be aged between 13 and 25 years at time of application
  • You have an interest in commitment to personal development
  • You are available to attend meetings, events and commitment to the role and its responsibilities
  • You are committed to being part of a safe and inclusive environment

 

  • You have the ability to observe child safe principles and expectations for appropriate behaviour towards and in the company of children
