The City of Salisbury is seeking an experienced and collaborative Asset Systems Officer to join the Infrastructure Management team within City Infrastructure.

Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Systems, you will play a key role in administering and improving Council's Asset Management Information System (AMIS) and Geographic Information System (GIS). Working closely with project managers, asset managers and operational teams, you will ensure asset information is accurate, accessible and supports effective decision-making throughout the asset lifecycle. You will also contribute to asset capitalisation, data quality initiatives, system improvements and asset audits that support Council's long-term planning and service delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Administer, maintain and improve Council's Asset Management Information System and GIS platforms.
• Undertake asset capitalisation and disposal activities for infrastructure assets.
• Review project documentation, plans and asset data to ensure accurate asset records.
• Conduct site inspections and asset audits to verify asset information and condition.
• Develop and maintain asset registers, maintenance regimes and reporting processes.
• Support integration and data consistency between AMIS and GIS systems.
• Provide asset information, analysis and reporting to support Asset Management Plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Council to improve asset management processes and outcomes.

About you:

You are a highly organised and analytical professional with experience in asset management systems and GIS. You take ownership of your work, have strong attention to detail and enjoy working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. You are comfortable balancing technical systems administration with site-based asset inspections and project support activities.

You will also have: 

• Significant experience with Asset Management Information Systems and GIS platforms.
• Experience using ESRI ArcGIS or similar GIS technologies.
• Experience undertaking asset capitalisation and asset data management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Understanding of local government asset management practices (desirable).
• Experience with Confirm or TechnologyOne Asset Management systems (desirable).
• Experience in infrastructure asset management, accounting, engineering, GIS or a related field.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
