The Shire of Dundas is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Asset & Operations Officer to join our Works & Services team.
This is a full-time position based in Norseman, responsible for coordinating the Shire's day-to-day infrastructure and maintenance operations across our diverse regional road network and community assets.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Works & Services, you will:
- Support the development and coordination the Shire's annual works program, and supervise its delivery.
- Lead works crews and contractors undertaking road construction and maintenance.
- Assist with the delivery of capital works projects.
- Coordinate maintenance of roads, drainage, parks, airports, landfill and other community infrastructure.
- Monitor works budgets and project progress.
- Assist with asset inspections and maintenance planning.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in civil construction, road maintenance or local government operations.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and contractors.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating works programs and projects.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction, Local Government, Project Management or equivalent experience.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and White Card.
