We are seeking two experienced Human Resources Business Partners to join our People & Safety team, with two temporary opportunities available to support Council’s operational needs.

This advertisement covers two separate roles:

Full-time fixed term until July 2026
(Full-time preferred, however part-time may be considered)

Fixed-term part-time role working for a period of 6 months

About the role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will work closely with leaders across Council to provide practical, timely and professional HR advice. You will support a broad range of people matters, with a strong focus on employee relations, policy application and interpretation of industrial instruments.

This role requires a confident, solutions-focused approach and the ability to balance operational needs with compliance and best practice.

About you

You will be a collaborative and experienced HR professional who is comfortable providing advice in a complex environment.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Employee Relations / Industrial Relations (ER/IR)
  • Policy development and writing
  • Award and Enterprise Agreement (EBA) interpretation
  • Experience in a local government or public sector environment will be well regarded, but is not essential.
