at Blacktown City Council
Full TimeProfessional expertise. Personal purpose.
Join Blacktown City Council's FOGO and Resource Recovery team as a Resource Management Enforcement Officer and help keep Blacktown City clean, safe and free from illegal dumping. Working across the community, you investigate incidents, educate residents and support practical solutions that improve local streets, parks and neighbourhoods.
You spend your time both in the field and in the office. You inspect illegal dumping sites, collect and manage evidence, interview witnesses, prepare reports and briefs, and issue warnings or penalty notices where required. You respond to enquiries, explain waste disposal requirements and legislation, and help residents understand the services available to dispose of unwanted items correctly.
You also develop educational material, support litter prevention and illegal dumping programs, deliver presentations and information sessions, and contribute to projects that encourage positive behaviour change. You work closely with Council staff, businesses, contractors, government agencies and community groups to improve local amenity and support sustainable waste management practices.
Your work makes a visible difference every day. You help reduce illegal dumping, improve public spaces and create cleaner, more liveable neighbourhoods across Blacktown City. This role suits someone who enjoys a mix of investigation, compliance, community engagement and project work, with time spent both outdoors and in the office.
At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams, and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:
